The Art of Letting Go

A Trauma-Informed Journey Through the Metal Element

Workshop Overview

Join us for a trauma-informed workshop rooted in Traditional Chinese Five Element Theory and designed for nervous system healing. As Fall brings a season of release and reflection, we’ll explore the wisdom of the Metal Element—associated with the lungs, grief, and the sacred act of letting go.

This 2-hour experience weaves together:
• Gentle Qigong practice to open the lungs and support emotional flow
• Guided expressive art-making to externalize and transform inner experience
• Breathwork + nervous system regulation for grounding and resilience
• Trauma psychoeducation through the lens of Five Element wisdom
• A safe, inclusive, and embodied space to honor grief, release the old, and restore inner clarity

This workshop is Part One of a Five-Element Series led by Brandy Mohn, LCSW and Expressive Arts Therapist. Space will be limited to 12 participants, ages 18+. No prior experience in art or Qigong is necessary. All supplies provided. All bodies and identities are welcome.

Feel free to reach out to Brandy with any questions about the content of this workshop: creativeinlets@gmail.comour piece.
