Intro to Self-Alignment with Five Element Qigong
Sunday, February 15th: 1pm-3pm
Workshop Overview
This is a two-hour creative wellness workshop exploring balance, embodiment, and renewal through movement and art. Rooted in Chinese Five Element Theory, the workshop includes a brief overview of the Five Elements/Phases, a gentle Five Element Qigong movement set, a process-based art activity, and time for reflection and integration.
Offered on the Sunday before Lunar New Year, the workshop draws inspiration from the Year of the Fire Horse, inviting participants to explore themes of vitality, inner fire, and authentic expression as a foundation for the year ahead.
What is qigong?
Qigong is a gentle, mindful movement practice originating in China thousands of years ago. Qigong combines slow, flowing motions with breath and focused awareness. Movements are simple and accessible, inviting you to notice sensations in your body and settle your nervous system as you move. Rather than striving for perfect form, qigong emphasizes presence, ease, and listening to your body moment by moment.
